I am a TCK – and grew up on the field. I lived in several countries, didn’t feel South African and said many goodbyes every time we moved. Once I moved to Turkey, I was the one who remained. I didn’t move and over the 19 years of living here have had to say many goodbyes to others leaving. I have been married to Bryan since 2000 and our 3 girls were born in Turkey and have grown up in this country – they too don’t feel South African and have also had to say many goodbyes but have had such a rich experience living in another culture.
