About Me:
I’m an American, a homeschooling mom of 4 children (born 2006-2016) and have lived in Moldova for nearly ten years. I’ve worked as the coach-mentoring coordinator for a discipleship training program, orientation and debrief for short-term teams in Moldova, have had many coffees with newly-wed ladies and young moms (I really like this ministry), and have done lots of discipleship/coaching of single ladies (especially young ladies). I am being coached into Biblical counseling as a means of being more equipped in coach-mentoring. I love to sing and enjoy anything creative, I am a harmonizer married to a strong Driver so I feel quite comfortable with coach-mentoring both types (and have experience coach-mentoring both types). My weakest coaching-mentoring type would be strong motivators—I tend to be a bit too serious for these fun-loving people, but I also want to grow in this too!
Main coach-mentoring focus:
young ladies, newly-wed ladies, new-to-missions ladies, young moms
My dreams/goal/vision...
Anywhere so be it forward! (paraphrase from Jim Elliot)
Things I love to do:
Bake, scrapbook, sing, host people, learn, crochet, sew.
One fun fact about me:
I used to make my own cheeses and yogurt, and grind my own flour for bread.
I believe Coach-Mentoring is important, because…
I have found sometimes we need a sounding board, or an objective outsider to help us see things differently. I also think sometimes it’s the questions that someone else asks that we aren’t willing to ask ourselves. I love how Jesus asked the man at Bethesda, “Do you want to be healed?” And while he was looking for God to heal him he didn’t even realize he was speaking to God in flesh! I have had several coach-mentors who have helped me to number 1) discover if I actually want “to be healed,” and 2) help me see God when I have been blind to the work He is actually doing in my life. I want to do that for others!
