About Me:
Hensie is married to Stéfan since January 1997. They have three children – Nadia (2001), Daniïl (2004) and Victor (2008). Originally from South Africa, Hensie holds two degrees from the University of Pretoria, BA(Drama)(Hons) in Theatre Directing and B(soc)(sci) in Social Work. Since 2019 she leads a multicultural team working mainly with at-risk teenagers and training others to reach these young people through Experiential Learning clubs, theatrical and extreme outdoor camps and mentoring.
Main coach-mentoring focus:
Discovering and releasing potential
My dreams/goal/vision...
I have a passion for seeing young people find their place in the world and discovering how amazing and special they are – no matter what the world has been telling them all their lives. My other passion lie in using (or even exploiting) unexpected artistic expression including dance, various forms of theatre, fine art, word art … to draw out what God has placed in the human soul.
Things I love to do:
Writing scripts, acting, dancing and cooking are some of the things that brighten up my life. I also love to lead, organize and administrate processes.
One fun fact about me:
I may be the loudest, most expressive and emotional introvert you may ever meet.
I believe Coach-Mentoring is important, because…
When I was a young teenager, one person gave me the space to really discover who I was, encouraged me, asked the difficult questions and helped me take a couple of risks. I believe that coach-mentoring can offer this to others who are unaware of the fact that they also were placed on this earth to be impactful.
